Turtle Card

I love this card because of the many uses it can have. I originally pictured it as a birthday card for a child, but left it without a greeting, because once I saw it I realized the possibilities were endless! This would make a cute notecard for sending a friend, or you could use them as birthday invitations (they're sold in a set of 6). I even could picture these as baby announcements-either write the information on the back of a photo that you tuck inside, or else order pre-printed matching inserts from me that would have your information all printed and ready to place inside the card. You could even order these from me in a different color scheme to match a girl's birth, or order them with two turtles side by side for twins (moms of twins have to think outside the box!).

This turtle stamp is actually one I found in the dollar section at Target a while back. I stamped it in blue and embossed it to give the image some dimension. The background of the card is strips of paper that have inked along the edges in navy blue. The outside strips also have rounded edges. The turtle image was mounted onto blue cardstock and embellished with stapled white ribbon. The image was then mounted with foam squares so it sticks off the background of the card a bit.

This card is listed as a set of six in my etsy shop here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=29616530 You can also easily order more of these from me if six cards don't meet your needs. The six shown all use the same patterned papers, but sometimes the green is on the outside with the polka dot paper in the middle. As always, you can convo me on etsy about ordering this in a different color scheme as well!
