Sympathy Card

Here's a new sympathy card. The flower image has a lot of dimension to it-it's hand stamped and hand colored, then it was dipped in layers of ultra thick embossing powder. Finally, I cracked the image and dipped it in ink to age it. There are two similar cards up for sale in my etsy shop here.

Wedding Cake Card

The first one sold so quickly I had to add another one-this one is the same, but with a different patterned paper background, and in an aqua color scheme instead of creams. You can find it for sale in my etsy shop here.

Paint Sample Wedding Cake Card

This card started with paint samples that I cut into strips and rounded. I used the paint samples to form a wedding cake, and finished the cake off with paper flowers and silver brads. The inside of the card reads "...and they lived happily ever after." Perfect for a wedding gift, or else use it as a bridal shower invitation. Information about your shower could be printed on the inside of the card! Contact me through etsy conversation if you're interested in using this design for a bridal shower! The card can be found for sale here.

Butterfly Birthday Card

I started with this butterfly image from Stampin' Up! and colored it using Copic markers. I then mounted the butterfly to a slightly larger circle of blue cardstock. To create the design on the left side of the card I layered circles cut in varying sizes from both cardstock and patterned paper. I mounted the butterfly image using dimensional foam adhesive and then created a sentiment using three happy birthday stickers. You can find this card for sale in my etsy shop here, and there is a very similar card listed here.

Anniversary Card

This card has the vellum portion of my card I made with an alcohol ink background, but I switched up the rest of the card design. This one has a background of patterned paper that's layered with decorative tape. You can find three of these cards for sale in my etsy shop here.

Sunday, August 30, 2009

I started this card with a wedding cake image from Stampin' Up! that I embossed and colored in using watercolor. I then mounted the image onto some matching mulberry paper that had been torn. To keep the design of the card clean, I used a strip of polka dot patterned paper in similar color tones and then mounted the stamped image using foam adhesive to give the card added dimension. I finished the card off with an "always" stamp that's also from Stampin' Up!, using a slighly darker blue ink. This card is for sale in my etsy shop here.

Pear Cards

I started this card with a very simple pear stamp from Stampin' Up!. I shaded it with my watercolor pencils and then went over it lightly with water. The cardstock I mounted it on actually uses a different stamp from Stampin' Up! that's a swirl. I also used two different strips of patterned paper for the background of the actual card, then finished it off with a sticker that reads "thank you." I also made this card in a gold color scheme with a sticker that reads "Happy Birthday." Both cards are available in my etsy shop here.
